Guitar Learning Basics: Minor Chords
How the notes and numbers are placed on the chord grid will tell the player how the notes are to be played as written on the guitar tab.
For example, if four whole notes on the staff above the chord grid are to be played, they are to be done by strumming the chord once and sustain that sound while counting to four. The numbers on the chord grid are usually written in between the staff and the guitar tab. These will tell the player what fingers to use when playing the chord. Another guitar tab beneath the chord grid will show which frets the fingers of the left hand should be on.
Minor chords can be identifies with a small letter m written after the notes: Am, Bm, C, etc. The major chords given in the jamorama review are easily identifiable because the notes are written alone in capital letters: A, B, C, D, etc. Learn to read the chords while pressing on the frets to play the notes as written. Keep practicing until the music rhythm is flawless.
